The new technology Humbucker dual coil pick up heads are designed to suppress noise interference and increase sensitivity to the tone by 2 to 1. They are used for locating shorts, crosses, grounds, opens, bridge taps, and splits in telephone cables.

Features:

• Designed to plug into the TELEFONIX ToneRanger or any other standard OSP cable repair amplifier.

• The heavy duty fiberglass lay-up pole extends to 21 feet, and will collapse to about 6 feet for storage. A unique locking device holds the extended pole firmly in place and unlocking is quick and easy.

• The rugged coils are waterproof and can be used in aerial cable applications or locating tone in a water submerged manhole.

• The notched designed coils fit and hold the Layup Pole in place on the cable, improving the ease and accuracy of locating the tone signal, especially in wind conditions.

• All poles and coils are designed to meet BellSystem electrical requirements.

Model HC1

• The Handcoil is designed to pick up the tone when the cable is accessible and confirm the fault location.
